Tiffany Knight, Principal/Director - Disco freestyle, Street Dance, Rock N Roll & Zumba

 

Tiffany and Her Sister Tuesday Started Energy School of Dancing in 2008 with freestyle classes on just two days a week. The school has now grown to a large school with classes Tuesday-Friday and cover a number of different dance styles and Gymnastic Dance.

 

Tiffany began dancing Disco freestyle at the age of 7 and quickly fell in love with the up tempo music Competitions  had to offer. She also then began ballroom and Latin dance which she gained up to International awards in both. Tiffany also took training in Street dance, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Rock n Roll. In 2006 Tiffany took her teachers exam in Freestyle/ Street and Rock N Roll and gained 95% Distinction grade with International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA).  Tiffany is also a member of the (ADFP) Association of freestyle dance professionals which allows members of the Freestyle comp squad to compete at dance competitions over the south of England. In 2011 Tiffany took her Zumba training course allowing her to teach Zumba at Energy. Tiffany began teaching at Hemel Theatretrain in 2006 and choreographed pieces for shows in The London Palladium and The Theatre Royal before becoming the centre director of Aylesbury Theatretrain who performed at the 02 in July 2013 and Disneyland Paris May 2014.  Tiffany has reduced the number of classes she teaches at the school since having to her first baby Dixie In March 2014 and then Chase in 2016 and now takes a more active role in the running of the school.

Besides running Energy School of Dancing and Gymnastics, Tiffany also directs Aylesbury  & Hemel Theatretrain. In 2018 Tiffany completed an Acrotix training course for level 1 Gymnastics.

Tuesday started dancing at the age of 3 and since then has performed competed and gained awards in Latin, Ballroom, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Rock N roll, Street, Disco Freestyle and more.
Tuesday Teaches many styles at Energy School of Dancing and Theatretrain Aylesbury and has also taught for Sainsburys active, sports for school and Oxford Theatretrain.
Tuesday has a National Diploma in Performing Arts from the Amersham & Wycombe College a teaching Associate qualification with the I.D.T.A and is a member of the  Street Dance International Association
Her professional credits include;
From the age of 15 Tuesday auditioned and became a member of Future Shock and Culture Shock Uk Hip Hop Troupe Where she toured around England and to America to represent the UK. O2 Arena , The Royal Albert Hall, British Arts ,World Showcase, Wembley Arena, LA ballet school, and more
Tuesday has Choreographed for shows at Sadlers wells, The London Palladium, The Theatre Royal, The 02 Arena, World Showcase San Diego and The British Arts. In 2018 Tuesday completed Level 1 Acrotix training workshop.



 

Joel Ekperigin- Special guest teacher

Joel started dancing at the age of 10 with street dance being his first passion. At 14 he started to gain a range of performance opportunities through his first Sunday school, Pineapple Performing Arts, and then went on to join dance group Cerebro. It was after this experience that Joel decided he wanted to pursue a career in dance and went on to train at Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts. During his first year he received a full training scholarship from P&O cruises. Credits whilst training - Brit awards 2016, Britain’s Got Talent, The Collection Amazon, House Full 3, Peter Pan- First Family Entertainment, Aladdin – First Family Entertainment, SHOOT DANCE @tkjoel. Joel is currently a member of West End musical Thriller live.

Katherine Tyler- Ballet / Tap

Katherine trained at her local dancing school in Oxfordshire before going on to train professionally at the Urdang Academy of Performing Arts. After graduating and various professional jobs she went to America to teach dance on a summer camp which is where she attributes her love of teaching today. Upon returning to the UK she obtained her I.S.T.D teaching certificates and now has 20 years experience teaching Ballet to all ages at various dancing schools and colleges across London and Hertfordshire. 

Hannah Andrews- Commercial, Contemporary, Technique, Street Tap

 

Hannah's love of dance & performing started at a young age, where she studied RAD ballet and ISTD tap and modern, Hannah also attended Irish dancing lessons to grade 3 teaching level. Hannah's passion for dance continued and from 2010 to 2013 and she gained national diploma's in acting, dance and singing at Amersham Wycombe college. From this Hannah trained as a professional dancer at Stella Mann performing arts school in Bedfordshire where she gained the  Trinity qualification. During these years Hannah has taken part in many competitions, performances and shows and have most recently supported a dance and cheerleading troupe in Cardiff.

Jess O'leary-  Acro 

Jess started her training at the age of 3 at Perfect Step Dance Studios before moving to Brittons School of Performing Arts where she competed at All England competitions and performed in Professional Pantomimes and shows.

At the age of 16 Jess trained for 2 years at Stageright Centre for the Performing Arts on their BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance, as well as being part of the Centre for Advanced Training – The Place London and Saturday Associate Programme – London Studio Centre.

At 18 years old Jess was accepted into the prestigious London Studio Centre on their BA Hons Degree programme where she trained for 3 years gaining exposure of the industry, working on shows with renowned choreographers.

Jess was also part of Europe’s top cheerleading team performing at sporting events at Twickenham and the Olympic Stadium. She has also performed at big Superbowl events and Casinos. During this time and presently, Jess performs in various music videos of all styles.

Since graduating from London Studio Centre, Jess has begun a Qualified Teacher Status course teaching dance at a secondary school in Hertfordshire. Jess is also the Acrobatics and Lyrical teacher at Phoenix Starr College.

She looks forward to meeting all the students and pushing them out of their comfort zones to achieve great results!

Fran Wright- Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Mini Street

​

Fran has been teaching for numerous years in various styles. Fran studied at Laine Theatre Arts, qualifying with a diploma. She is an advanced performer in ballet, modern and tap, plus training in LAMDA drama. Fran has been with Energy for over a year and the children love her.
